Sign up to donate your time Friday, December 3rd, West Little Rock Rotary Day at the Angel Tree booth at Park Plaza Mall from 9:30am – 9:30pm.

THIS WEEK’S PROGRAM
Speaker: District Governor Paul Roberts THIS WEEK’S ACTIVITIES: None. UPCOMING EVENTS/NEWS: August 17: Curtis Lowery, UAMS Topic: Translational Science and Tel-Medicine—Talking Health to the People August 24: TBA August 31: Mary Good, UAMS Topic: University’s Role in Economic Development ANNOUNCEMENTS: We have two exchange students arriving for a year in the United States. President John Hodoway would like for us to welcome them by having a group of Rotarians at the airport to help greet them when they arrive. Any member is welcome to participate in the welcome. We do need to remember that they will be tired after a long trip, so it's mostly a show of support rather than something formal. Members who attend should wear their Rotary pin. Lorenzo Canova is coming in from Milan, Italy and arrives in Little Rock on Delta 3877 scheduled for 6:12 p.m. on Sunday, August 7. Amaia Paz is coming in from Santiago, Chile and arrives in Little Rock on Delta 5597 scheduled for 8:56 a.m. on Monday, August 8. Sign up for the District Seminar coming to Little Rock August 22nd from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. There are four sessions available to choose from: Rotary Foundation, Membership, Vocational Service, and Youth Programs. DG Paul Roberts sent out an e-mail regarding the District Seminar, but if you didn’t receive it, please respond to this e-mail, and I’ll forward it along to you. This is a great way to learn about what's going on with Rotary at the District level! |
